Rent a car & services

Our rates include:
- Unlimited km
- RCA (Italian Third-Party Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance) car insurance
- Full tank at pickup/full tank at drop-off
- CDW, limited liability up to €850.00 (varies depending on the type of vehicle)
- TP, limited theft liability up to €1,300 (varies depending on the type of vehicle)
- Cash security deposits for customers who do not have a credit card
- Inclusive of all taxes
- VAT 22%
- A party other than the driver may pay for the service

Extra services:
- Children's seats and booster seats (subject to availability)*
- Satellite Navigator €9.00 per day for up to 7 days (subject to availability)*
- Alternative and multiple drivers
- Insurance coverage
- Fuel service
- Vehicle delivery and collection at a location other than our office
*It should be noted that, should these items be lost or not returned, a surcharge of a variable amount will be applied.

Age requirements
The minimum age for renting a Tani's Rent vehicle is 19.
A surcharge of €18.00 per day, up to a maximum of 12 days, applies to drivers aged between 19 and 25.

Driving licence
The driver must hold a full, ordinary, legible driving licence recognised as valid to drive in Italy.
The driving licence must be valid for at least one year. In case it does not include a photo it must be accompanied by a passport or other identification document.

Additional driver
The same requirements that apply to the main driver also apply to the additional driver. Upon entering into the rental agreement, the additional driver must provide a driving license valid for at least one year. The service costs €9.00 per day, limited to a 7-day maximum charge and inclusive of any charges for other additional drivers.

Fuel
Our vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. If at the time of returning the vehicle the tank is not full, a charge for the missing fuel plus a surcharge of €18.00 for the refuelling service will be applied.

Credit cards and payments
The rental fee can be paid by credit card or cash. We accept all types of credit cards.
When you pick up the vehicle you will be required to pay a provisional deposit by credit card or alternatively, a security deposit in CASH.
The deposit will be held until the vehicle is returned as a security against any damage, misuse and other serious breaches.

One-way car rental
An extra charge will be applied when booking a one-way car rental, i.e. picking up a rental car at one office and dropping it off at another.

Out-of-hours drop-off service
An out-of-hours vehicle drop-off service is available upon request at an additional charge.

Off-premises vehicle delivery and collection
The delivery and collection service is available upon request. The fee for this service is €15.00 within 15 km; for further distances, the fee will be calculated according to the number of km covered.

Insurance coverage and excesses
Tani's Rent vehicles are insured for liability, damage and theft, subject to any excess. The excesses payable by the driver vary according to the type of vehicle.
The driver can avoid paying an excess by buying one of the following products:
- Total removal of damage excesses (SCDW) €10.00 per day
- Total removal of theft excesses (STP) €12.00 per day
- Combined removal of damage and theft excesses (EXR) €25.00 per day
Tani's Rent insurance policies offer effective consumer protection and are guaranteed products, unlike other online refund services.

Customer cancellation and failure to pick up the vehicle
In the event of failure to pick up or cancellation of the booking of Tani's Rent vehicles, the customer forfeits the right to a refund of the sums paid as a deposit.
Any refunds due as a result of changes to existing bookings will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
